Conditions We Treat

From back and neck pain to sports, work and ICBC injuries — grouped by where it hurts, because that is usually the part you know first.

Back and neck

Low Back Pain

The most common reason people see a physiotherapist — from a sudden strain to an ache you’ve had for years.

Neck Pain

Stiffness, headaches and pain referred into the arm, often from posture, sleep position or an old injury.

Herniated Discs

Disc-related back or neck pain, with or without pain travelling down a limb.

Sciatica

Pain that travels from the lower back through the buttock and down the leg.

Sacroiliac Injuries

Pain at the base of the spine or in one buttock — common in pregnancy and after a fall.

Scoliosis

Exercise, postural work and bracing support for curvature of the spine.

Shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand

Shoulder Pain

Painful, weak or restricted shoulders, including frozen shoulder and impingement.

Rotator Cuff Injuries

Strains and tears of the shoulder’s stabilising tendons, with or without surgery.

Tennis Elbow

Pain on the outside of the elbow that worsens with gripping and lifting.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Numbness, tingling and night pain in the hand, from nerve compression at the wrist.

Bursitis and Tendinitis

Inflammation around joints and tendons — most often shoulder, hip and elbow.

Hip, knee, leg and foot

Knee & Ankle Pain

Everyday knee and ankle pain, from overuse and arthritis to stiffness after an injury.

Leg Pain

Aching, cramping or heavy legs, including pain referred from the lower back.

Ankle Sprains

Early management and a graded return to sport after a rolled ankle.

Plantar Fasciitis

Heel pain that is at its worst on the first few steps in the morning.

Nerve and headache

Headaches

Headaches driven by the neck, jaw and posture — treated at the source rather than medicated.

Tingling or Numbness

Pins and needles, numbness or weakness caused by irritated or compressed nerves.

Injuries and recovery

Sports Injuries

Assessment, treatment and a staged return to your sport rather than a blanket rest instruction.

Auto Injuries & Whiplash

Neck and back injuries after a collision, with ICBC billed directly.

Work-Related Injuries

Strains, repetitive-use injuries and WorkSafeBC claims.

Muscle Strains

Pulled and torn muscles, and how to load them safely again.

Post-Surgical Rehabilitation

Structured recovery after joint replacement, repairs and reconstructions.

Ongoing conditions

Arthritis

Managing osteoarthritis and inflammatory arthritis through movement, strength and pain-relief strategies.

What happens at your first visit

  1. A 45-minute assessment. Your history, movement testing, and a plain explanation of what we think is going on and why.
  2. Treatment starts the same day. Hands-on work, plus two or three exercises you can realistically do at home.
  3. A plan. Roughly how many visits this is likely to take, and what you should be able to do at each stage.

No referral is needed. We bill ICBC, WorkSafeBC and most extended health plans directly.
